the beginning

Welcome to California coffee house chatter...I'm your host, social butter-fly on the wall...

People here are always moving around. “I grew up in the bay area, I just moved here a year ago…”

Who are all these people? Everyone is…something...artsy...right?

                                    Artist
                                    Designer
                                    Musician
                                    Writer
an assistant to the important person...or the nanny...or the bartender? hairdresser?

who are you, sitting in the coffee shop at 8am reading the paper, or on your laptop at 2pm on a Wednesday? Are you alone? Do you have someone waiting to see you at home? Aren't we all alone?

And now it's time for Random Thought of the day:

Humans continue to grow up and realize that being a “grown up” doesn’t change how one feels inside. Growing up only means a growing number of years you accumulate. You feel one way but are labeled another way by your age…such as, you feel young but are labeled old…because a number says so? And this number is telling the world something about you. You can say Hey stop that! but it doesn't really listen...such preconceived notions don't just disappear. Where do we get these notions? Where do they come from? Society says OH! you are THIS age, that means you can or cannot do this or that. Get a job, don't get a job, get married, have children, go to school, get out of bed, retire, go to work...obviously that is just a list, not an order...but who says you can't do it in that order?

Anyway, I hope I can find a path for this blog, and my life while I'm at it.

XOXO

Spark
